2 Sermon on the Mount

The words of Jesus Christ from the fifth to seventh chapters of the Matthew gospel are called "Sermon on the Mount". It teaches the basics of life that people who want to live according to Christ should walk.
And at the same time, this passage also shows the character of the Lord Christ well. Needless to say, in Christology, it is important to consider Christ in this aspect. But this long story is actually a bunch of short stories. Not all was spoken at once. There are things like the sayings of those days. Nevertheless, when you read the words of the Lord gathered and summarized in the three chapters, Jesus appeared himself in it.。

Ⅰ. The Word of the Lord and the Words of the Church

First of all, when we think of the word of the Lord, we have to be careful.
That is, we are to choose the sentences of the gospel and where
we have to get sincerely mind of extracting only the pure Lord's words from it.
Of course, it is our feeling that we want to make sure that this is exactly what the Lord said. There is a reason for that.
But even if it is told in the Gospels as the word of the Lord, there will be places where it is not. It was later transmitted as the word of the Lord because of some need of the church. However, it is very difficult to decide which is actually a real word and which is not. This comes from the following two circumstances.

(1) First of all, what is written in the gospel is not like a report of a record without an interpretation or explanation. From one side there are the facts of Christ's death and resurrection, and also the teachings of Christ himself. But from the other side, there are the teachings of Christ's salvation where the early church worked for preaching while dealing with various problems after Christ's death, while thinking and deepening its understanding. Then, it is not possible for the later ones to be spared in the way that the early church thought out later. For example, even in the case of justification, the revelation of God does not just point to the facts of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Further correct interpretation is given on the fact. This interpretation is the letter of St. Paul, and especially the letter to the Romans is at the top of it. But the letter of St. Paul is not the word of Christ. Also, Paul's idea does not appear as the teachings of the Lord in the gospel. Nevertheless, Paul's letter is a book of divine feeling just like the gospel. In the same way, as the revelation of God, the truth of salvation is transmitted without error.
