Fighting the power of darkness

3 Fighting the power of darkness
The battle of Jesus Christ was also difficult. The New Testament teaches clearly. But who the battle was against? Someone was not the other person. It is not the power of the world or the Roman Empire, nor imperialism or capitalism. He was not a Jewish official in Jerusalem. It is not a political or military battle after all. Jewish people
I was rather disappointed because I wasn't the liberator of the political power that I wanted as my messiah. Jesus himself clearly proves the situation. “My country is not part of this world” (John 18; 36)

Jesus is not fighting with any human being. I'm not trying to fight again. Return to love the enemy and then teach that the opponent is no longer an enemy, but a friend.
“I wonder if I should head to the bad guys. If you hit right cheek, other cheek will love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5; 38-48).
From this point of view, I can't see how Jesus thought that a particular person was an enemy who had to fight and defeat his own life.

On the other hand, according to the Bible, it can be seen that the enormous and creepy power of darkness was approaching the Lord Jesus through the reality of this world. There are two distinct areas:
Temptation in the wilderness (Matthew4; 1-11)
⑵ “Satan falls from heaven like lightning” (Luke10; 8)

The battle and victory of Jesus Christ lies in the passing and death on the cross. The trust and love of the disciples who had embraced the people who crucified themselves, and escaped at the most important time, remained unaffected by anyone until the end. From the perspective of the world, this was much less reliable, rather like a defeat. But no power on earth could separate his son Jesus from his love with the Father. The battle of Christ was the battle of love. It’s not a battle to defeat the enemy. It is a battle that loves enemies. It’s a strange battle. Priests, elders, and law scholars who fought against Jesuits are fighting with wisdom and power. However, the Lord himself is not fighting these people at all.
It's not that you didn't try to fight with a weak fool. On the contrary, he worked hard for these people and fought the power of darkness.

This battle is strange even from the point of view. Everyone made a fuss from the surroundings and tried to defeat Jesus Christ as much as possible. But Christ has not crossed those people at all. Rather than avoiding the blow, the Lord is bothered by the front. Sometimes he get out of himself to receive it.
"I am it" (John18; 5-8)

For the most part, the Lord has never tried to protect himself through all the afflictions. Without being pulled down, he is silently treated to the end. When he say something, he say from his own point that it just fits in the other's pot. When the priest asked if he was Christ's son of God, “You are right. You will soon sit on the right of the powerful and ride on the clouds of heaven. You will see "(Matthew 26; 4). This is exactly what the priest wanted to hear in order to put Jesus on death.

Is this a fight? According to the teachings of Christ, the church must fight the same battle as the Lord.
"Everything that takes a sword will perish with a sword" (John26; 52)
The battle of Jesus Christ did not surrender the opponent with force. On the contrary, it was in a place where all the power that the opponent attacked was received as it was. In this world, there is a terrible battle that can only be saved by receiving the attack of the opponent's power and work as it is, instead of defeating the opponent with power. So the disciple of Christ must wake up and pray. Wake up and pray not to lose the temptation.
“Even though the heart is ripe, the body is weak” (Matthew 26; 41).
People have weakness in the flesh, often with the urge to fight with their swords and powers and surrender their enemies. If so, isn't he the most frightening enemy for a person? It is a thing to keep in mind.
